Sompranee BSc, MSc is the boss of the place or so she thinks! Bahn Nah is actually under the control of THE BOSS
who is also the person who wrote this web-site. Likes a good conversation with customers and can talk about almost
anything under the moon. Nowadays Sam, as she is known, spends most of her time looking after her much bigger
interest in Hull, Pecharaat Thai Restaurant and Hotel
|
Foong BEng, PhD, is THE BOSS because he can write anything he wants on this web-site. Used to be educated at Sheffield
University and also educated students at Sheffield University and DeMontfort University. Went to live the good life in Malaysia as
Director of Studies at Taylors College for a couple of years. Came back to Sheffield because he missed Bahn Nah too much. Now honed in the art
of Thai cuisine.
|
Melanie, Bahn Nah's chief taster, started her career waitressing here
at the ripe young age of 4, when as well as taking orders will also challenge anybody to a game of Boggles. She impressed Will Self so much that he
wrote an article on the restaurant. Melanie used to run the place but now doesn' t spend much time here because
she is working towards her medical degree at Newcastle University. Currently president of MedSoc.
|
Ching Nga, older cousin sister of Melanie. Hails from Hong Kong
and is here striving hard to complete her qualification in accountancy. Talkative girl just like her auntie who appears
to have picked up a strong Manchunian accent since coming to England 2 years ago. A thousand free
minutes on the mobile phone is not usually enough for this young lady.
|
Uthai is a direct import from Thailand. Very soon to
take over the mantel of head chef. Doesn't speak English at the moment but give him a couple months more
and he should be speaking Yorkshire.
|
Kaya BSc, PhD (soon) in Town Planning. Her name means
'rich' in Malay and is the pioneering Taiwanese worker in the restaurant. Highly efficient at her work and very loveable.
Currently taking time off for research(?)
|
Moe BSc, PhD (soon) in Material Engineering. In the restaurant
she is beauty in motion, but outside never leaves home without her baseball cap. Definately THE person
to speak to about Thai culture.
|
Dao, spends all her money on her pets in Thailand. Name a pet and she has
has probably got it.
Misses Thailand so much that she spends most of her time watching Thai movies and chatting on the internet.
|
Kriang BSc, PhD (soon) in Water Engineering, is married
to Dao. Denies that he is a palmist but his predictions are renown amongst the Thai student community.
|
Nuk BSc, PhD (soon) in Microbiology, may be little
but she packs a lot of energy in the little frame. If you wanted to find out how soft spoken Thai girls
are, speak to Nuk.
|
Boy BSc, M Arch, PhD(soon) in Architecture, is Mr Efficiency in
disguise. Pleasant ex-president of the Thai students society at Sheffield University. Will be happy to do you any
architectural design.
|
Ooh BSc, PhD(soon) in Architecture. Following the footsteps of Boy.
Petite girl who has always got a serious look on her face. When she smiles, however, it will be a charm.
|
Jao, BSc, PhD (not so soon) in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering.
Only been in Sheffield University for the last six months. Watch this
space for more comments.
|
Michiko is the pioneering Japanese worker in the restaurant.
A petite lady who also happens to be an expert in the art of 'kendo'. Currently back in Japan looking after baby!
